Today the world’s highest denomination bank note went into circulation in Zimbabwe - where inflation has hit 150,000 per cent. The streets of Harare and Bulawayo are now crowded with modern millionaires, who have no more wealth, but rather fatter wallets.
This ten million note will get you perhaps five loaves of bread or six pints of milk in Zimbabwe today. Hamburger and chips at a local cafe, however, is out of reach at $15 million.
