The concept itself isn't new. Just as you can send an e-card, it's been possible for a while to instruct a dedicated website to send event invitations to a list of email addresses, and keep you informed of RSVPs. Pingg is different. Join up (it's free), and you can upload your

own images (or, if it's a business event, your logo), and incorporate them into a Pingg template. Most people, however, will be happy with the wide range of existing art and designs, which have at last grown up along with the technology. Some look very chic indeed. If you want something

really fancy, there are further custom design options, but you'll need to pay for those.

Once you've chosen your design and added a little text (time, date, venue etc), you can choose whether to attach a map, and whether to accompany your emails with a webpage
