China’s Olympic year is off to a bad start, says Joseph Mackertich

If there was one thing China didn't want, it was this. Months before the unveiling of a 'new' China to the world, courtesy of the 2008 Olympics, this week's uprisings in Tibet and India have managed to shine a light on every aspect of Chinese politics the authorities were at pains to conceal.
