Another day and yet another musician turns their hand to fine art. Last night it was Paul Simonon, ex-bassist of The Clash, who launched his new exhibition of paintings at Thomas Williams Gallery in London's Bond Street. As well as art-world regulars, the event drew a crowd of dedicated rocksters young and old, from Bryan Ferry and Marie Helvin to Dazed & Confused editor and Kate Moss's ex Jefferson Hack, and would-be Orange-prize juror Lily Allen, sporting newly blonde locks.
