THE PLACE

GROUP HUG

Fight for your right to a Christmas party at the best of the best London venues.

Where to dance: Kitts. Tucked away under the Sloane Square Hotel, this swanky new nightclub stays true to its Caribbean island namesake with a drinks list of rum-based cocktails. Fuel up with a selection of gourmet bar snacks like caviar with chips and then burn it all off, Saturday Night Fever-style, on the glittering dance floor.

Where to eat: Bistrotheque. Book your party into Bistrotheque for a

night of fine food and cabaret. It may be impossible to get a table at its sister guerrilla restaurant, The Reindeer, but this east London gem is a great alternative. Hire out the cosy Oak Room which seats up to 50 people and don’t miss the after-dinner Drag Christmas Panto.

Where to drink: The Old Queen's Head. Probably Islington’s best boho boozer. Laid out across two floors, it offers down-to-earth grub, stylish surroundings, fine wines and an eclectic music policy. Large parties can take control of the top room, while smaller gatherings

can spread out across the spacious lower level.

Where to play: Bloomsbury Bowling. Ten- pin bowling got a makeover this year, as the glitterati lined up to try their luck in chi-chi bowling alleys such as this central London hotspot. Put an original spin on your evening and and hire out one of their lane-side karaoke rooms for some post-bowling fun. Here you can sink into a comfy sofa, quaff a few quality cocktails, raid the in-room mini bar and get well and truly into the groove. SHE’S GOTTA HAVE IT
