Second-gen cool? How unfair is that??
Lily Allen, daughter of Keith, is top of the pops with her ska hit Smile, proving once again that cool is a heritable condition. Hang out with your rich, famous, hip parents and their friends, and pretty soon you’ll be rich, famous and hip too. In an age of vapid celebrity, gilt-edged bright young things carrying rock aristocracy genes will always trump the self-made nouveau chic; they’re the double cream of cool. And that’s why, any second now, we can expect to see Mick’s grandkids with the next helping of Jagger blood, brains and beauty.
