All the fun of the Frieze art fair

The history of art fairs in the UK had been an inglorious one, up until the welcome arrival of the Frieze Art Fair in 2003. Expect this year's fair and its 150 exhibiting galleries to be as cool and exemplary as before, with the best selection of the best art by the best contemporary artists, from Chantal Joffe via Cecily Brown and beyond. Money is central to the proceedings - limos, VIP lounges, parties and dealers abound - and there's a certain amount of ostentation, but disregard this. Really, it's a funfair, taking place in a glorified tent. If ever the word 'unmissable' could be used, now is it.
