Apple iPhone

We tried hard to find another phone that was more desirable than the iPhone. And while some perform better at certain things - taking photos, for instance - none can match the all-round elegance and simplicity of the Apple handset. It performs its basic phone duties with aplomb: contacts management, text messaging and the simple tasks of making and taking calls are all peerless. But it is the sheer brilliance of the 'extras', the way the web browser zooms in on the right part of the page or how you can speed through your photos with a swish of the finger, that brings a little bit of joy to the otherwise mundane. Even without the improvements promised for iPhone 2.0, this still gleams at the top of the tree.
