BenQ high definition projector

4 out of 5

Full-HD projectors may still be pricey, but they're much better value than the average 108in HDTV (about £50,000 better). This beast from BenQ uses a 7-segment DLP colour wheel to produce astoundingly detailed 1080p images and silky motion handling. Giving an image up to 300in across diagonally (or 98in at 13ft), it's whisper-quiet in use, and only lacks slightly in its sheer brightness rating. Get some curtains to go with it and you won't want to leave the house for a very long time.
