At last – the Apple iPhone 3G

5 out of 5

We've waited patiently to pass judgement until we've had some serious face-time with the new WonderPhone. Now we have, there are no big surprises: browsing is much nippier on 3G, the GPS is good (if not flawless), and the camera is still poor. But the overall experience, from its sheer tactility to the achingly satisfying menus is the main sell. The new App store is hugely exciting, and geotagging photos will surely become a must-have before long. It's a great upgrade to the most compelling phone on the market - even battery life is better. And Exchange support may even mean that your company will buy one for you. It's annoying that 02 is still the only mobile network option, but at least the cost is more reasonable. Just be prepared to wait for one.
