Audi Q5: Smart on-road SUV

There are few surprises with the Q5. It's everything we have come to expect from

Audi: smartly styled, brilliantly built, well equipped and good to drive. The A4 Avant is about as practical and sets you back a great deal less.

But if you simply must have an SUV with a prestige badge - and don't want the imperious off-road ability of the Land Rover Freelander - the Q5 is an excellent choice.
