Unlucky number

Turning 27 is a bit depressing for many people, but for rock stars, it's positively dangerous. It's the age, after all, that has claimed the lives of an uncanny number of famed and talented musicians at the peak of their career - consequently giving rise to the mythologised '27 Club'. In a photographic tribute to this rather morbid pop-culture construct, 'Forever 27' focuses on the five main members who lived fast and died, well... at 27: Brian Jones, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison (who all met their end in a curious two-year spate between 1969 and 1971) and Nirvana's Kurt Cobain, who joined the gang - as he allegedly wished to - in 1994.
