The next generation of Philips' stunning flagship TV has beamed in... Rarely do we see unique features that aren't gimmicks these days, but with Ambilight, which
arrives in October, Philips has just that. This brand new 42-inch set uses a clear glass bezel and over 150 multi-coloured LEDs to effectively extend the picture onto the wall behind. In a darkened
room, it's quite a sight. As you'd expect for the estimated £2,700 price tag, the panel also produces astounding pictures, with almost unnervingly smooth motion, incredible colour reproduction, as
well as all the features boxes ticked. A 37-inch model also arrives in October, for £2,200. We suggest fans of the light get saving.
