BlackBerry Storm: touch screen touchdown

4 out of 5

It's taken RIM a while to jump on the touchscreen bandwagon, but it's now done so in style. The revolutionary SurePress screen is mechanically mounted, so can be physically pushed in. Touch the screen and clickable portions become highlighted; to select, just push the screen in. It makes precision clicking much easier, though traditionalists will view the onscreen keys warily. Initial impressions are good, with GPS and interesting apps on board. It's available now, exclusively through Vodafone.
