Caught in the Khyber Pass

Pakistani workers in Peshawar cover a military vehicle intended for Nato and US-led forces based in Afghanistan. Due to 15 Taliban hijackings in recent days, Pakistan has temporarily closed the historic Khyber Pass - the only convenient route from Pakistan to Afghanistan - which was once used by Alexander the Great and described by Rudyard Kipling as "a sword cut through the mountains".
