Volunteers help protect a house in Minnesota. After the Red River flooded, waters swept across its extremely flat valley and caused havoc in North Dakota, Minnesota, Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota and Nebraska. Slabs of ice the size of cars have blocked the river and exacerbated the problem.
