Manchester United and Chelsea will once again be forced to take on Barcelona in the race to sign France stars Franck Ribery and Karim Benzema. The Spanish club is the latest, after United, Real Madrid and Chelsea, to join the hunt for the Bayern Munich winger Ribery. Sir Alex Ferguson believes Ribery is the man to replace Cristiano Ronaldo, while Lyon striker Karim Benzema, valued at £30m, could fill Carlos Tevez's boots at Old Trafford...

Arsene Wenger faces a fight to hang on to striker Robin van Persie who is wanted by Jose Mourinho at Inter Milan. The Italian champions will offer £25m for the Arsenal striker who only has two years left on his contract with the Gunners but is negotiating an extension. Arsenal are already fending off bids for fellow striker Emmanuel Adebayor...

Harry Redknapp is on the hunt for a new striker and is being linked with former Man United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy. His current club Real Madrid are said to be ready to let the 32-year-old Dutch hitman go for just £1.25m. Redknapp is also interested in Blackburn centre forward Roque Santa Cruz and will offer £10m for the player...

Manchester City will offer Micah Richards to Everton in part exchange for defender Joleon Lescott. City are desperate to sign the Toffees centre back and are prepared to let Richards go.
Everton do not want to sell but boss David Moyes will not keep hold of players who want to leave and City will double Lescott's wages. City are also closing in on the signing of Carlos Tevez from rivals Manchester United but their hopes of luring Xabi Alonso from Liverpool have been dashed. The player says he will not move to another Premier League club - which is also bad news for Arsenal...
