The Samsung HMX-R10 camcorder looks and feels expensive, so it's surprising to find it relatively cheap at £379. It's even more surprising that it's so well specified:
an 8x zoom and electronic image stabilisation; full HD at 1080p and 25fps, or 720p at 50fps. It also grabs nine-megapixel stills. Plus, there are a couple of fun slow-motion modes to play with and
an integrated stereo microphone. Crucially, video quality is excellent, colour accuracy generally spot-on, and those shooting inside or in low-light situations will appreciate the lack of RGB
noise. The small lens means detail isn't exactly razor-sharp, but it is surprisingly good for the price.
