Richard Williams - He and his ex-wife Oracene Price reportedly conceived Serena and Venus Williams with tennis superstardom in mind. He made his young daughters train in a hail of bullets while growing up in LA's toughest neighbourhood. In 2001 he launched a diatribe at the media, branding tennis correspondents as racist and arguing that if his girls were "some little white no-good trasher like Tracy Austin or Chris Evert, who cannot hit the ball" then they would be nicer to them.
