Ana Ivanovic and the golfer

Wimbledon gossips will be watching today to see whether Ana Ivanovic, voted the sexiest sportswoman in the world, and - according to web statistics - the one with the most visited website, has a certain Aussie golfer watching from the stands when she takes on Venus Williams in the fourth round.

Despite a big Serbian 'No comment' from the tennis player, Adam Scott, the 28-year-old blond hunk who counts Kate Hudson among former girlfriends, has done nothing to quell media speculation after watching Ivanovic's last two matches.

"I met her in Australia, but I'm not going to say any more." he told Australian reporters. Asked if he'd be back to see more of 21-year-old Ivanovic, he said: "I hope so."

Ivanovic herself, asked about Scott's presence during her straight sets victory on Friday over Samantha Stosur, said: "I wouldn't like to comment on that," before adding: "I think it's great to see familiar faces in your box when you look for support."

Last year, she was known to be dating the Spanish tennis player Fernando Verdasco but she has already owned up to that relationship being over.

She is said to have met up with Scott while she was in Australia for the Open. Coincidentally, both she and the golfer are Rolex ambassadors and both have made their homes in Switzerland, she in Basel, he in Crans-Montana.

In Australia, Scott is talked of as the possible successor to Greg Norman - and he married a tennis player, Chris Evert, though not before she practised with an Englishman (John Lloyd) and an American (skier Andy Mill) first.
