HAROLD LARWOOD, England: Batsman Bill Woodford ducks a Larwood bouncer during the notorious 1932-33 ‘Bodyline’ series. The Nottinghamshire fast bowler took 33 wickets in the series but sparked a diplomatic incident between England and Australia after being ordered to bowl 'bodyline' at the Australian batsman by his captain Douglas Jardine. When he later refused to apologise for following his captain's orders he was banned by the MCC and eventually emigrated to Australia.
