Charlie Sheen demands ‘truth’ about 9/11 attacks

America’s highest-paid TV actor has called on President Obama to investigate the attacks, which he believes were perpetrated by former president George W Bush

Actor Charlie Sheen has joined the ranks of the 9/11 conspiracy theorists - "demanding" that the US Government comes clean over its involvement in the attacks and even posting a message to President Obama on YouTube calling for him to reopen the investigation.

Sheen, whose hit comedy series Two And A Half Men makes him the highest-paid actor on American TV, made his claims in the transcript of a fictional encounter with Obama, called Twenty Minutes With The President.

It was published on the website of conservative radio show host Alex Jones, PrisonPlanet.com, ahead of Sheen's appearance on the shock jock's show on the anniversary of the attacks.

Sheen, who has battled addiction throughout his career, claims that "the official 9/11 story is a fraud" and says that the attacks were a "pretext for the systematic dismantling of our Constitution and Bill of Rights".

He goes as far as suggesting that the administration of former president George W Bush was responsible for the atrocity, which was used to justify an invasion of Iraq.

Sheen, whose father Martin played the American president in TV show The West Wing, first joined the ranks of the so-called Truthers in 2006, when he expressed scepticism about the official account of the attacks, and says he hopes Obama will take note of his appeal.

Jones, who aligns himself with conservative Pat Buchanan, is a well-known conspiracy theorist who believes the world is run by a series of shadowy elites known as the New World Order.

Earlier this week Obama's 'green jobs' tsar Van Jones was forced to resign after it emerged he had signed a petition from a 9/11 Truther movement that claimed the US government staged the attacks.

There is so much compelling evidence pointing towards an "inside job", and yet it only really makes the papers when an actor stands up and says this is the case. I don't generally subscribe to conspiracy theories, but in this instance I have to make an exception. Watch this and see what I mean. http://www.911weknow.com/911-mysteries-english Not the usual insane ranting and tales of alien lizard people.

"Sheen, who has battled addiction throughout his career..." so he is well matched by Bush, who has also had the same experience! The Truther movement members are not necessarily conspiracy theorists, they just want an independent inquiry. The 9/11 commisssion left many questions unanswered, here is just one; Theodore Bevry Olson was US Solicitor General at the time of 9/11. His wife was Barbara K. Olson, a passenger on American Airlines Flight 77, which crashed into the Pentagon. He claims that she called him twice while he was at work, telling him of the hijacking and asking for advice. His statement is contradicted by the FBI who examined all relevant phone records and there was no evidence of either call taking place. This became a matter of public record during the trial of Zacarias Moussaoui.
