Cindy Crawford, Kate Moss and a storm in a B-cup

Crawford says she was ‘too healthy’ to make it as a model in the era of ‘size zero’
The 'veteran' American supermodel Cindy Crawford has weighed in to the debate about 'size zero' models. Crawford, now 43, said she would never have made it in the fashion industry if she was starting out today because she always looked "too healthy".
Crawford (above left), once a locker-room favourite as well as a top cover-girl, said that with her "big breasts, normal thighs and toned upper arms", she "would not have become a supermodel in 2009".
Her comments come in the wake of rows about skinny models at the recent fashion shows, and after the recent scandal of two retouched Ralph Lauren ads, one of which depicted a model whose waist appeared smaller than her head.
But Crawford clearly hadn't seen the new pictures of Kate Moss modelling her Christmas collection for Topshop when she made her remarks to the German magazine Bunte. The Topshop shoot shows the be-sequined 35-year-old revealing rather more cleavage (above right) than she has been known for hitherto.
And apparently there's no retouching or trickery of any kind involved. Instead, there is an innocent explanation from Moss: "I've just grown breasts."
She said her new look was the result of unexpected weight gain. "Even my friends are phoning me up and saying 'Are you pregnant?' And I'm like, 'No! I just put on a couple of pounds, and they went in the right place.'"
Moss admitted the growth spurt came with "great timing for my lingerie collection", adding: "Isn't that weird? And how perfect for lingerie... Now I can fill a B-cup."
