Blair "told the BBC that the couple should be allowed to get on with their lives". He even suggested that most royal stories are untrue. A while ago we would have believed him but then Di came along and confirmed them all. The general consensus is that Kate Middleton had a lucky escape, but Marilyn's Royal Blog is tongue-in-cheek indignant: "It's so sad. She invested five years of her life... Not to mention all of the time we wasted speculating. And for what? Didn't we deserve a happy ending?"
