is that William thought "all the fun had gone out of their relationship". The Celebitchy blogger has consulted the "Man Speak to Real Speak dictionary and... deciphered that what Wills really meant... was: 'I'm a rich commitment-phobe who's about to be King, baby. What I really want is to go out all the time and ogle/grab how many bimbos I want without you nagging me about where this relationship is going'."

There's less commentary on the blogs than in the press on poor Mrs Middleton's not-posh-enough vocabulary, but Clive Davis says: "Poor Kate... middle class, but not classy enough, apparently," before listing her sins: 'toilet', 'pleased to meet you' and 'pardon'.

But Jack Yan gets the prize for zero speculation: "Wills and Kate may have gone their separate ways romantically. Wills is 24. Leave the guy alone. If I married the girl I was dating when I was 24, I'd be in a psycho ward."

Finally, there are no reasons to be cheerful for the domain-name speculators, as noted by Nik Makris: "I feel for all the cybersquatters that bought up all available Kate and Wills domain names in the hope that they could cash in on what was to be the next royal wedding. Perhaps it wasn't such easy money after all..."
