Buddha
A group of Afghan boys play football in front of the gaping chasm where a 180 ft statue of Buddha was famously destroyed by the Taliban in 2001. The boys are members of the Hazara tribe, who have taken over the network of caves at Bamiyan as their homes. Their ancestors are thought to have sculpted the Buddhas in the sixth century AD
