IIs it the unashamed cultivation of physical beauty that makes Netherlands Dance Theatre 2 so alluring? Is it the delicious flawlessness of their young dancers - all under 23?
Holland's mighty standing in the worlds of tulips, boiled cheese and contemporary dance has long entitled it to respect, not least in the raging aesthetic arguments that erupt every time a branch of the great NDT organisation turns up in the UK. The glossy choreography is more akin to this season's fashions than something to last the contemplation of years. But there is room for both in entertainment. Watching a bit of elegantly vigorous dancercise in corsets has a certain attraction at the end of a long, hard day in the City. Ismene Brown
