It's easy to assume the white farm landgrab in Zimbabwe is done and dusted. But in fact, in more than one corner of the country the battle still rages.

In April, The First Post told the story of a raid by three truck-loads of police on Portwe farm in Matabeleland North. The police occupied the place, stole the contents of the gun cabinet, and announced that it was now a 'Police State Farm'.

Owner David Joubert went to the High Court in protest, and gained an injunction against the police, who withdrew to the boundaries, enabling Joubert to continue working the farm. But his success could be only fleeting. Zimbabwe Trade Minister Obert Mpofu had publicly vowed he would close all white-owned farms in his Bubi-Umguza constituency.

Sure enough, another attack
