Life’s a beachNever mind if the English weather refuses to comply; Harrods is in full summer mode. With bucket and spade in hand they have ventured into 'The Great Outdoors' for their new window displays. Perfectly formed sandcastles are adorned with cosmetics, and bikini-clad mannequins lounge around their beach huts sipping cocktails, in an effort to bring the outside in. Someone ought to tell them that beach glamour isn't always so easy. After all, getting sand in your lipstick is a nightmare, maintaining lustrous hair in seaside winds is an impossibility, and you really shouldn't operate a jet-ski after a few cocktails.
