Johnny Marr returns to Glastonbury for the first time since The Smiths played in 1984 with everyone's favourite exponents of new wave sea shanties.
Location: Pyramid Stage
When: Friday 3.10pm
Rehab might be just the ticket for Madame Winehouse (right) after Glastonbury (she's also playing the Jazz World Stage). Seeing as she’s the thinking drunkards' pin-up we expect her to enter into the spirit of things.
Location: Park Stage
When: Friday 8.30pm
Not the best slot for these north London teen groovesters (up against Kasabian and Arcade Fire elsewhere) but those who witness them will boast about it. CDP just have too many great songs to fail.
Location: Other Stage
When: Friday 9.20pm
Neon Bible managed to live up to the hype, but this is a massive moment for the band to transform the fervour they generate at theatre shows into a massive setting. If Arcade Fire (right) can pull it off, this will be spectacular.
Location: Dance - East
When: Friday 10.20pm
The fluorescent adolescent party starts here, and we expect much chaos mid-set when the entire tent will have to decide whether to go and see the Monkeys or not. If they stay they'll witness the most tuneful channelling of JG Ballard imaginable.
Location: Main Stage
When: Friday 11.05pm
Alex Turner will no doubt shrug Glastonbury off as just a gig but this headline show has the potential to be so much more and will without doubt provide the biggest mass sing-a-long of the festival.
Location: John Peel Stage
When: Saturday 6.10pm
The Yorkshiremen's bird-pulling anthems will no doubt cause much beer juggling among their laddish fanbase down the front, but beneath the bravado here's a band (left) who are fast maturing into great songwriters and riotous showmen. Kaiser Chiefs, watch your back.
Location: Park Stage
When: Saturday 7pm
Many rumours surround this slot on Emily Eavis' new stage - according to some, it's a pseudonym for an entire evening of surprise guests, while others say it's a Gorillaz live show. There's even talk of some band from Ireland with this bloke called Bono in it.
Location: Other Stage
When: Sunday 7.30pm
If, come Sunday evening, your power reserves are flagging, here's the band to recharge your love of music. Energy, charm and the occasional sample that reminds you of being five years old - fantastic.
Location: Other Stage
When: Sunday 10.40pm
Forthcoming album We Are The Night is laden with classic tunes, but it'll be the hits the crowd here will want to hear. There'll also be a couple of surprise guest appearances - which, as the pair (left) worked with everyone from Noel Gallagher to Klaxons, could bring a magic Glastonbury closer.
