When Poirot meets Tintin
|

The ever-popular (and much adapted) oeuvre of Agatha Christie finally makes the crossover to comics with this engaging adaptation of the classic train-bound Poirot mystery, Murder on The Orient Express - one of ten Christie tales due for UK release following their initial 2003 publication in France.
Despite an occasionally-stilted French-to-English translation, writer Francois Riviere adapts the idiosyncratic Christie with aplomb, maintaining the author's spanking pace and thick air of mystery.
With a wonderfully-expressive clear-line style that instantly recalls Herge's work on Tintin, artist Solidor augments his frames with cinematic composition, greatly adding to the book's overall stylishness.
