It's time for something completely different from photographer Lynn Goldsmith. Widely acclaimed for her rock 'n' roll portraits, she's come over all introspective for her new series,
In the Looking Glass. Her pop culture bent hasn't completely vanished though. These theatrical tableaux are packed with modern references from fashion magazines, adverts and shop window displays, mingling happily with historical and fairytale narratives. And if the faces start to look oddly familiar, it's because Goldsmith has grafted her own features on to every one of her 'characters'. So is this reality intruding on fiction, or the other way around? Or perhaps it's just a dream after all...
