Inhuman behaviour

Here's some work to warm the cockles of your heart. James Unsworth is a young artist - he left the Royal College of Art in 2006 - who depicts a grotesque underworld of forbidden behaviours. He claims his prints and drawings are informed by researches into 'transgressive behaviour' which he observes at 'alternative' nightclubs. If prisons are letting cannibals and murderers out at night to relax and enjoy themselves, this could be true. More likely is that Unsworth has a powerful imagination, is a fan of boyish horror films, and has been admiring such things as Mexican and Hindu death deities, do-it-yourself tattoos and Goya. Fantastic!
