Ken Livingstone, Mayor of London, made a good joke at his Conservative opponent's expense last week. At the launch of the London Transport Museum, he told the Daily Telegraph he was worried about Boris Johnson having gone missing. "I've sent the police out looking for Boris because I can't find him anywhere - where is he? I'm worried that he's been abducted or kidnapped."
In fact, the Johnson by-line can be found regularly in the Telegraph. Yet his latest column only helps confirm the view - growing in Tory circles - that Boris, selected barely a couple of months ago for the high-profile campaign, has indeed gone missing, politically speaking.
The subject of the column is the shooting of Jean Charles de Menezes, the Brazilian mistaken for a suicide bomber on the London Underground. So far so good. But while top |
