Happiness Factory - The Making Of Documentary (right) isn't just our top animated ad of 2007, it's our top commercial of the year, even though it has never run in a commercial break. It's a YouTube hit, a piece of advertising that gets sent from inbox to inbox for no other reason than that people love it.
It's a perfect example of permission marketing, communication that gets larged up by that most persuasive of all media, word-of-mouth.
EA Games and Orangina have been online hits as well. And if some of our other selections belong offline, to the traditional commercial break, they show that the animator's art is alive and kicking in adland - and not because it is (usually) cheaper.
