Don’t put Daldry in the doldrums

You're normally spot on, but you miss a huge point in the story about My Fair Lady being remade, with a script by Emma Thompson. ('Stephen Daldry takes on 'clunky' My Fair Lady', February 13)

You say: "Although Thompson wrote the screenplay for the 2005 film Nanny McPhee, in which she also starred, there is little else on her CV that suggests she is up to such a task." Actually, she won an Oscar for her screenplay of Sense and Sensibility - and it was even rather good.
