Winehouse hospitalised again

The troubled singer Amy Winehouse has spend the night in hospital after suffering a "reaction to medication". An ambulance was called to the 24-year-old's north London home yesterday evening and she was taken to University College Hospital. She is due to be released later today.

The singer's father Mitch, who has often expressed his concerns about his daughter's drug use, is with her in hospital. He said she was well enough to eat a chicken take-away meal with him last night, adding: "She scoffed the whole thing."

Police had to be called to Winehouse's Camden home in order to clear a path for the ambulance through a large crowd including many photographers which had gathered around it.

Winehouse received hospital treatment last month for traces of the lung disease emphysema.
