Angry brides march on HSBC

A bevy of brides and grooms, some wearing their wedding outfits, has marched on the headquarters of HSBC to protest the collapse of Wrapit, the wedding gift company. Wrapit, which went into administration on Monday, blames HSBC for not providing adequate support.

About 60,000 gifts ordered on the site will not be sent out, leaving many couples without presents on their big day.

One bride, Ilana Howley-Buddell, said: "I am incredibly disappointed on behalf of my guests. They are so upset." Ms Howley-Buddell was married in March this year. Only around 10 per cent of the £2,800 of presents she ordered have been delivered.

Abby Parkes, who is owed gifts worth £4,500, said: "I am angry. I feel cheated and let down."
