LAPD: ‘Rockefeller’ may be suspect

Clark Rockefeller, the man accused of abducting his seven-year-old daughter Reigh Storrow Boss in Boston last month, has been revealed as a German national who is wanted for questioning over the disappearance of a California couple 23 years ago. Los Angeles detectives said they had "positively identified" the man who triggered an international manhunt when he kidnapped his daughter from her mother, City of London executive Sandra Boss, as Christian Karl Gerhartsreiter.

California police believe that Rockefeller is also one Christopher Chichester, a man who rented a guesthouse from Los Angeles couple Jonathan and Linda Sohus in the mid-1980s. Chichester disappeared shortly after the newly weds went missing in 1985. Steve Whitmore, a Los Angeles Sheriff's Department spokesman, said that police are "confident" that Clark Rockefeller is the same man.
