John Edwards endorses Obama
Democratic hopeful Barack Obama has received a significant boost to his campaign, with the endorsement of former rival John Edwards. Both Obama and Hillary Clinton have heavily courted Edwards, whose arrival at an Obama rally in Michigan on Wednesday night helped offset the Illinois senator's defeat in the West Virginia primary. Edwards' strength is his appeal to working-class white voters - the group Obama has struggled to win over.
