Gina Gershon targets Sarah Palin

Actress Gina Gershon may have denied supporting Bill Clinton during his R&R visits to California, but she's certainly taking Barack Obama's side in the war on Sarah Palin. In a video parody put out this week on FunnyOrDie.com, the Hollywood actress does a nice impression of a mumsy Alaska Governor before stripping down to a stars and stripes bikini and taking out a shotgun.

Gershon was the subject of an allegation floated by Vanity Fair magazine this summer, that she and Bill Clinton had had a relationship behind Hillary's back. In a profile of Clinton for the magazine, Todd Purdum wrote that the former president's aides had "winced" at "recent high-end Hollywood dinner-party gossip that Clinton has been seen visiting with the actress Gina Gershon in California".

Clinton was furious, calling Purdum "a real slimy guy" among other things, while Gershon demanded a retraction, saying she had only ever met the former president three times - and on each occasion there were other people present. (Vanity Fair refused to retract, sticking by Purdum's story.)

Gershon, whose sexpot roles in films such as Showgirls and Bound have made her a lesbian icon in the US, took time off from her role as a flight attendant in the Broadway hit Boeing Boeing to shoot the Palin parody.
