In brief: Controversial Jaime Winstone film premieres

The controversial low-budget British thriller Donkey Punch, starring Ray Winstone's 23-year-old daughter Jaime Winstone, had its London premiere on Monday night. Winstone (pictured centre with her boyfriend Alfie Allen, right), plays one of three northern girls invited onto a yacht by four posh boys who organise an orgy during which one of the girls is killed by a punch to the back of the neck - the 'donkey punch' of the title. Critics have picked up on similarities between the film's plot and the murder of British student Meredith Kercher in Bologna last year... Gordon Brown is again eschewing the lavish summer holiday locations enjoyed by the Blairs. Last year he tried Dorset, but had to return to London after only a day on the beach because of the flooding crisis; this summer he’s taking his wife and two young sons to the seaside town of Southwold in Suffolk, considerably closer to London should he feel the need to return to Downing Street... The daughter of the late Heath Ledger, Matilda Rose, is likely to receive the bulk of his $20m fortune. The two-year-old, who lives in New York with her mother, actress Michelle Williams, was not born when Ledger drew up the document and does not appear on his will. However, the Australian Daily Telegraph has reported that after the will’s executors applied for probate in the West Australian Supreme Court they were advised that under state law the majority of the late actor's money would be awarded to Matilda… John Noakes and Peter Purves, best known for co-presenting Blue Peter in the 1960s and 1970s, will be telling their stories in forthcoming memoirs, inspired by the success of their fellow presenter Valerie Singleton's autobiography…
