Max Mosley out for blood

It seemed unlikely that Max Mosley would be content with winning his landmark privacy case against the News of the World. And so it seems. According to today’s Times, which like the Sunday tabloid is owned by Rupert Murdoch, Mosley is now preparing to bring libel actions that could reap him hundreds of thousands of pounds in damages.

When the (entirely false) allegations that his sado-masochistic orgy with five call girls was Nazi-themed appeared in the News of the World, many other newspapers waded in with personal attacks on Mosley, who in addition to being the head of British motorsport is the son of Britain’s wartime fascist leader Sir Oswald Mosley.

Because of this his lawyers are said to be looking very closely at everything that was written. The libel actions over the Nazi claim are likely to focus on the News of the World, which in addition to paying £60,000 exemplary damages had to pay Mosley’s legal costs of around £200,000. The Times claims they could also include actions in France and Germany. (Continued below)
