Stone releases Bush biopic trailer

Although the movie won’t be released in cinemas until October – just in time for the November presidential election - Oliver Stone has allowed a trailer of his eagerly-awaited George Bush biopic, W, to be posted online as part of a slow-cook publicity campaign. The 90-second clip starts with scenes of the young, very wayward Bush, played by Josh Brolin (pictured) indulging in a lot of good ol' boy activities - drinking contests, gambling, drink-driving and being thrown in jail, antics which led to inevitable clashes with his father.

In one scene he is upbraided by his father George H W Bush, played by James Cromwell, thus: "If I remember correctly, you didn’t like the sporting goods job. Working in the investment firm wasn't for you either, or the oil rig job. You didn't exactly finish up with flying colours in the Air National Guard, junior.

"What are you cut out for? Partying? Chasing tail? Driving drunk? Who do you think you are? A Kennedy? You're a Bush. Act like one." Worth a watch.
