Beckhams to appear in Italian film

Do David and Victoria Beckham ever learn? Shortly after they arrived in America in 2006, they agreed to take part in a documentary about their lives, in which they were made to look ridiculous and were generally flailed alive by the US media. One critic wrote of the programme, called Victoria Beckham: Coming to America: "For all her erotic poses, skimpy outfits and well-oiled limbs, Mrs. Beckham is oddly unsensual on television; she somehow takes the sin out of synergy."

But it seems that nothing can dampen the publicity-insatiable couple's desire to keep themselves in the public eye. The Daily Mirror reports today that they are now considering an offer to make a film about their lives in Italy when, as reported here last week, Beckham arrives to play for A C Milan on a free trial from his US team LA Galaxy. The deal comes courtesy of A C Milan’s owner - the Italian Prime Minister and media baron Silvio Berlusconi - who is said to have offered them £10m.

"It will be similar in format to the US documentary, but this time the budget is absolutely huge," a source tells the Mirror. "It will be a really polished, professional production. With Silvio 100 per cent behind the project, as part of his vision to expand the AC Milan brand, it really will be no holds barred." We shall see.
