Winehouse under threat from Blake

The course of true love seldom runs straight, especially if your names are Amy Winehouse (pictured) and Blake Fielder-Civil. While it's good news on the song-writing front - as discussed in The First Post today, the head of her record label Universal is ecstatic about the singer's new album - trouble is looming for her lover Fielder-Civil. He was released from jail last week and is currently holed up in rehab clinic in Surrey trying to cure his heroin and crack cocaine addictions.

Although he said at the weekend he can't wait to be reunited with his wife, the singer's mother Janis believes he is insincere, citing the fact that he didn't even inform her daughter that he was being released from the prison (he was convicted in July of savagely beating up a barman and then trying to pervert the course of justice by offering him a £200,000 bribe).

In an interview with Closer magazine, she said: "What sort of husband doesn't tell his wife that he's being released? That says it all really, doesn't it? I just hope she's beginning to see what he's really like now. Who knows what will happen between them, but I think the fact she hasn't run straight to him now he's out is positive."

But Fielder-Civil, 27, is also convinced he and 24-year-old Amy will be reunited. He said: "We have spoken on the phone and I'm expecting a visit from her at any time now.We can't wait to be back together again."
