Baillie does well out of ‘Manuelgate’
While the so-called "Manuelgate" affair resulted in Russell Brand leaving the BBC and a humiliating three-month suspension for Jonathan Ross, it seems the woman at the heart of the whole grisly business, Georgina Baillie (pictured), has only benefited from the exposure.
When the story broke, Baillie, 23, proclaimed herself indignant at the lewd comments left on her grandfather Andrew Sachs's answerphone, on which Ross informed the former Fawlty Towers actor that his friend Brand had "fucked" her.
But now she's all smiles. Her dancing troupe, the Satanic Sluts, are inundated with bookings and media appearances are plentiful.
"This has really made a name for us. It has raised our profile like nobody's business," she told the Independent.
"Fame has driven up the numbers and spurred on the girls. We're getting asked to come and perform, be kinky and naughty all over the place – and that's what we're into!"
