Eminem song attacks Palin, Lohan and Alba

Eminem

Detroit rapper Eminem has marked his return to the music business after a five-year hiatus by taking a pop at celebrities including Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin, actresses Jessica Alba, Lindsay Lohan and her DJ girlfriend – or ex-girlfriend, if latest reports are correct - Samantha Ronson and chat show host Ellen de Generes.

The video for the first single off his sixth solo album, Relapse, is We Made You which airs on MTV in America on Tuesday night, although the song has already made its way online.

Eminem is well-known for skewering his fellow (mostly female) celebrities in his lyrics - from Pamela Lee to Christina Aguilera and the Spice Girls - in songs such as Without Me, The Real Slim Shady and My Name Is. On his latest track, produced by long-time collaborator Dr Dre, he takes aim at the class of 2008.

Of the former Republican vice-presidential candidate, he promises to "invite Sarah Palin to dinner, nail her and introduce her to my girlfriend". To Lindsay Lohan, he quips: "Please come back to CNN, Samantha's a tool, you're practically a 10, I know you want me girl". And of Jessica Alba he says, "I just made a mess of my trousers, no wonder I keep dressing like Elvis; hey girl, you just met your soulmate." He also questions whether Kim Kardashian - star of the American reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians - is a man.

Eminem recently admitted to MTV that there was "some celebrity bashing” in his new album. "It's not necessarily intentional bashing, it's not necessarily taking deliberate shots at people... yes it is. What the fuck am I talking about?"
