Sylvester Stallone takes Rambo to Bollywood
Sylvester Stallone, the over-muscled Hollywood star is to make his Bollywood debut this summer. He will reprise the role for which he is most famous - John Rambo, the Vietnam vet and all-round killing machine. However it will be with a twist.
For out go the bloody antics and in comes a tender love story and possibly dancing. The movie, called Kambakht Ishq (Incredible Love), is a romantic comedy in which Stallone plays a Hollywood actor called John Rambo. The plot centres on Stallone's stuntman double falling in love with a supermodel. The producers have yet to reveal more details, but a slushy song-and-dance routine seems inevitable.
Joining him in the movie, which is set in Los Angles, are two of India's hottest female actresses, Akshay Kumar and Karina Kapoor. It also features Denise Richards, the former Bond girl, and Brendon Routh, who played the latest incarnation of Superman.
But there is no doubt Stallone (pictured as John Rambo) takes star billing. The trailer shows the Hollywood veteran uprooting a parking meter, which he uses as a weapon in a fight scene before delivering a payoff line in Hindi.
