In Brief: Oliver says sorry to Sainsbury’s

Jamie Oliver has apologised to Sainsbury's for criticising the supermarket - which spent £5m on TV advertising fronted by Oliver over Christmas - over refusing to take part in a televised debate on the standards of battery chickens; Oliver has written an open letter to every member of staff at Sainsbury's... David Beckham says he would be honoured to help England's 2018 World Cup bid, should he be asked by the Football Association; Beckham signalled his interest as he showed PM Gordon Brown around his Football Academy in London... Tennis champion Serena Williams has poured her heart out in an extraordinary blog after a painful breakup; "Tears finally come and they make you feel a little better," she writes, "but the pain is piercing through your soul... You can't help but feel hopeless, foolish. Your great chance to be with your soulmate has again somehow slipped and failed"...
